Sport as a formative and educational activity

On Saturday, 23 May, starting at 4:00 p.m., the conference will be held at MuSa, the Museum of Salò. Antonio Scaino da Salò’s “Giuoco della Palla”: Sport as a Formative and Educational Activity . A two-speaker conference that takes as its starting point the sixteenth-century treatise through which Antonio Scaino of Salò codified the rules of modern tennis, exploring the formative and inclusive role of sport in contemporary society.

The speakers are Pier Angelo Goffi (Head of the Library at the Brescia campus of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart) and Stefano Grismondi (PhD in Exercise and Sport Sciences and community psychologist). The conference will be moderated by Gian Paolo Laffranchi (journalist).

The event is organised in collaboration with the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart – “Raccolte Storiche” Documentation and Research Centre.
