On the occasion of the new edition of the Librixia cultural festival, on Saturday, September 27, at 4:00 PM, at the Agrobresciano Arena in Piazza Vittoria, Brescia, the book will be presented: Storie di tennis. Campioni, partite e bizzarrie dello sport più bello del mondo (Tennis Stories: Champions, Matches, and Oddities of the World’s Most Beautiful Sport) written by Alessandro Martini and Maurizio Francesconi and published by Einaudi. Promoted by the “Raccolte Storiche” (Historical Collections) of the Università Cattolica, the meeting will feature the two authors in conversation with Pier Angelo Goffi, Head of the Library, and Franco Lonati, professor of English Language and Literature.

Among the many themes addressed in the book—ranging from the history of sport and fashion to the great champions of the racket—the authors also focus on the duo of Gianni Clerici and Rino Tommasi, in a chapter titled “Clerici & Tommasi, coppia di fatto” (Clerici & Tommasi, a de facto couple).
